Pretty true

Men and Women Are Not Equal

More proof. These lyrics to country artists Little Big Town's hit, Tornado. They represent a whole genre of female revenge lyrics, where physical violence against men is celebrated as normal and justified. Thought you'd take a swing, try another girl, try another night But it's the pain that brings my force of nature back to life I'm a tornado, more disturbed than an F5.  Hey I'm gonna lift this house, spin it all around Toss it in the air and put it in the ground I'm gonna lift this house, spin it all around Toss it in the air and put it in the ground Make sure you're never found, oh yeah, mm  The winds are getting stronger and the sky is falling through You ain't got much longer, 'til the rage rips off the roof I'm a tornado and I'm coming after you Imagine the outrage if a male were singing about this kind of murder to a female? Men and women are not equal. ----

Lies and statistics

Feminists continue to peddle convenient lies in order to damage men and create victim-based power for themselves. Here are five myths unravelled , by a feminist... ---

Simple wisdom

Be they opposite-sex or same-sex, couples get themselves into hot water all the time because they forget simple truths, things that work. Some simple truths, here. One thing I often notice is that people get a highly detailed and particular idea of what love should look like --in their less than humble opinion--and then fail to notice the love that is being given to them, only because it comes in a package of a different color.  The anniversary game is all too typical. Ditto for Valentine's Day.  And for people who are not in the mood for sex at the moment, almost always say "yes" and you'll be surprised at how often that gets you in the mood after a few minutes.  ---

Sex differences

It is fashionable to make believe that male and female differences are only superficial and that the two sexes are really pretty interchangeable (except that males are bad...). Here's a news story that illuminates something of the ingrained differences. Ask yourself how often this kind of thing happens in reverse, with a free man marrying an imprisoned woman...especially one who had a history of lethal violence against men. ---

A hundred years ago

CG Jung gave some excellent advice to therapists: Anyone who wants to know the human psyche will learn next to nothing from experimental psychology*.  He would be better advised to abandon exact science, put away his scholar's gown, bid farewell to his study, and wander with human heart through the world.    There in the horrors of prisons, lunatic asylums and hospitals, in drab suburban pubs, in brothels and gambling-halls, in the salons of the elegant, the Stock Exchanges, socialist meetings, churches, revivalist gatherings and ecstatic sects, through love and hate, through the experience of passion in every form in his own body, he would reap richer stores of knowledge than text-books a foot thick could give him, and he will know how to doctor the sick with a real knowledge of the human soul.  -- Carl Jung (from "New Paths in Psychology", in Collected Papers on Analytic Psychology, London, 1916) *The laboratory psychology of his time.

Nothing more than feelings...

How men handle their emotions is a standard part of talk about masculinity. This study makes the case that men actual feel more than women do, but do not express emotion as readily Any fan of country music, as I am, could tell you that men certainly have very strong feelings. ---
